Will Pre Sense City Brake While Reversing?

My A4 B9 Sport has front and rear parking sensors and the triangle camera thing on the windshield.
I've had the pre sense beep and symbol come on the gauge cluster a few times.
What I'm wondering is, can the A4's of this specification brake if we get too close to an object whilst reversing?

Hi sorry no thats what reversing sensors are for.

    Always remember to brake when there is a solid tone.....otherwise you could impact something (like I did) 😄
