James Nelson Posted April 5, 2023 Share Posted April 5, 2023 Hi everyone, turning to here for some help/advice as any of the facebook groups and been useless. I recently bought a B7 2.0tdi 170 BRD engine code and I’m on the verge of pulling my hair out! I bought it as a daily driver and its been having issues since day 1. The day after i bought the car I noticed it was intermittently down on power, sluggish to start on cold and everytime I let me foot off the accelerator there is a wooshing sound coming back through intake, I thought DPF, plugged in and bingo there was the issue, got the DPF sorted out and also had EGR blanked while there, the car is no longer down on power but its still very sluggish to start when the car is cold (not the outside temperature) and I still have the loud wooshing sound when letting off throttle. It doesn’t seem like glowplugs as theres no smoke or any other tell tale signs. Sometimes when setting off in 1st it almost feels like the car is trying to choke itself out or something and nearly stalls, clutch&flywheel are fine. anyone have any advice at all? thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
