hope first of all are doing Great, as well as your A6s😂.

I'm looking to buy an A6 as my next Car (facelift model), and I wanted to ask from a reliability standpoint which Motor would be the better choice the 2.7 tdi or the 3.0 tdi both with Quattro ofc.

I am asking since I got told that the 2.7 tdi is prone to fail very often.

I apologize for the very long question, but I wanted to ask since It will be my second car ever ( till now I had a b6 A4 with 1.9tdi) and I want to know in Generall what I should be looking for?

I have owned a 2007 2.7tdi for 2 years now and tbh, the engine is the one thing that hasn't failed, even with 175k on it. It is the 2WD setup though.

Maybe I got lucky 🙂

I believe the two common issues are with the timing chain and injectors/injection module etc. 

As with any Audi engine service history is key.
