Is it possible to install Apple CarPlay in A6 C7 (2013/1)? If yes do I have to buy a new screen which could be swapped with the one in the car or is there another way? Steve Q Posted June 20, 2023 Share Posted June 20, 2023 I'd recommend you speak to autologics or Audi retrofits as members have used them for retrofits and been happy with the results. Tigger Posted August 21, 2023 Share Posted August 21, 2023 Hi @Daniel9944, In your in-car entertainment system: 1 - Press the Menu Button 2 - Push the top-right silver button (around the centre 'selection' dial/button) corresponding to 'Setup MMI' on the screen 3 - Scroll all the way down the list to 'Version Information' and select it 4 - If the 'Software version' starts with 'MHI2' then you have the MIB2 type system (aka MMI 4G) and this can be updated to include Apple CarPlay - If the software version starts with an 'HNav', 'HN+', or 'BNav' then you have one of the older MMI 3G variants that cannot be upgraded to include CarPlay/Android Auto. The only option here, I believe, is a rather expensive refit/retro-fit of a MIB2/MMI4G into your car to enable the functionality.
