Some months ago JUNE  1st.

I purchased  a  2015  A5 Petrol Fastback   1975 cc 50k

Wonderful condition. I did make comment on this at the time 6 years service info and all the original AUDI books unused/

But now being over 21/90 last week I dont know how to find it. Computer are just getting away from me.

I broke down the day after buying it while in the moors of  Northern UK only sheep around I had 2 litres of water in

my Pick up and Run medial kit please I had transferred that.

It was of course "enjoy sir serviced ready to go " the day before.

Loss of water it took 6 more litre's to get me home 17 miles or so. .Thank you Starbucks,

I just got lies from the main Dealer where I purchased it from regarding the problem

I am a time served plumber (years ago) water I do know about.

I was told the small pipe comming out of the expansion container to the rear of the unit had come detached.

Its next to the FILLER hole to top up the Coolant.

I used that hole to top the system up a many times to keep going.

No water NO steam where I am sure I would of had ( Would I or steam to my windscreen )

Non was noticed. I am sure It would of been uncomfortable me topping up with it detached. ?

But the MASTER Mechanic confirmed in front of his Superior that it was detached.

(I was after all just a customer)

And that the Expansion container had not been removed.  I made my comments but was unable to do more.

Now I am getting BS again about the HEADLIGHTS Manual control on the dash I have not needed headlights

till these last few weeks .I can reset myself but as its an MOT item now i dont think thats wise.

Dealer has "Fixed it" but I am still getting flashed my the aircraft comming in to Newcastle Airport.

And the Dips are someplace I cant see the Kerb.

I cant get any confirmation on what was repaired. Even manager I will get back to you and Not

I have collected the names handling the car and the Owners.

Comment pleased

After all i am just the OLD GUY that gave is a good amount of £.   Oh no I am not

Hello Johnny,

Sorry to hear you are having issues:-

Could you tell us when you bought the car?

When did you report the totally excessive coolant consumption?

Did the seller make any attempt to rectify the problem, and has that problem now been solved or not?

Headlights - When was the car last MOT’d?
Let us have some answers Johnny, and perhaps we can offer you some advice.
Kind regards,

Gareth.

Hi Gareth

Thanks for the reply.

Pardon me for sounding off lol

The last MOT was  24 Feb 2023 49371 all clear.

From the outlet I purchased  it from.

Miles since the MOT 1831 =  51202

I purchased it 2 June 23 broke down on 3 June 23

Never needed heads till last few weeks.

I noticed on the last MOT they checked the Clutch Cable its a CVT

Cabin filter was changed. I changed that automatically it had not been

Only FAIL was 21/22  Headlights to high. LOL.

Passed 2 days later,

Its just i am having difficulty's in handing my servicing to them

I am afraid I  am fussy all the way from my 1950 £45.00 805cc Morris minor.

Thanks again guys.

Her indoors sorted my problem  We dont go out if its near dark

Simple

Thanks Johnny,

Apologies but still not following the ‘broke down the following day…’

‘Never needed heads until til last few weeks..’

We take it it’s now OK and it’s no longer losing coolant.

Re. headlight adjustment: OK don’t drive it in the dark, but you will need to get this sorted before it’s next MOT in February.
Kind regards,

Gareth.

Hi Gareth.

Yes its sorted overheat wise that same week.

Its just the BS I got as to where it was from.

For BS read lies.

And the day after purchase did not go down vert well.

Yes headlights wise I am set up to see folks next Wednesday,

Its not a difficult job at all but I just want to know why they are

still rubish after they repaired them.

One has to have trust in garages I dont in this one at all.

I understand whats going on lots dont.

Shame on them.

Take care

Johnny M ( that B turbo works )
