TPMS HELP TO DEACTIVATE

Featured Replies

Hi all, i’ve got a 2013 audi a3 1.6tdi and the TPMS is on every time i start the car. Tyre pressures are all set correct but can’t reset TPMS through MMI as there’s no option for it under servicing and checks where it should be.

TPMS aren’t fitted on this car and it works off rotations of the wheels. It throws a fault up U110100 (component protection active - active/static)

Does anybody have any ideas on how to sort or does anybody know if this can be permanently coded out?

Based in chorley - Lancashire if anybody local to help ASAP ideally

Thanks Jason, but aren’t the pressure monitoring TPMS sensors within the tyre - attached to the inner section of the valve?

Re. ABS sensors affecting this operation, and ABS sensors requiring renewing just like brake wear sensors -? Really?
I think you will find that ABS sensors are generally ‘over sensitive’ and will throw up the warning when they get anywhere near to being unserviceable.
Kind regards,

Gareth.
