Just in case the issue hasn't been fixed since this post, it sounds like you may have a software glitch in your car as modern machines, Audi's included, have what is essentially a computer at the heart of the electrical systems, which can develop glitches just like any other computer. You may know that most cars nowadays have a laptop plugged into them when mechanics perform diagnostics. I would think this is what's wrong with your car. Obviously I can't tell exactly because I haven't experienced it in person but that's my first thought. If you intend to fix it yourself I'm not entirely sure how you would go about doing it outside of taking it to a garage or dealer.

I hope this helps you and please let me know how it all turns out.

Glen.
