Hi! First time posting! I need some help with my A1!

I really want to change my exhaust system i have been looking at a cobra cat back exhaust,

The issue i have is i want to change my exhaust myself but i haven't found any helpful information or guide on how to do it and issues i may encounter.

My worries so far are about sensors, are there any sensors i need to be mindful of? Any issues with welding/fixing?

Basically i need any advice/ tips about changing my own audi exhaust system and any problems i should be mindful of.

I know i should just take it to a shop to do but i want to be more hands on with my car

Thank you :)

There could be a lambda sensor.

Fitting the rubber mounts are fairly straightforward. It's joining all the exhaust sections together which can be the most complex to get a tight seal.

Have you looked at powerflow exhausts? My brother and a friend used them and wre happy with the exhausts.

Hi Steve thank you so much for your reply i appreciate it. I have briefly read about the lambda sensor and it does make me anxious to attempt this myself.

Not sure where i would even locate it to be honest.

I have just had a look at powerflow exhausts they look really good is there a one in particular you recommend?

Also is there any exhaust clamps you could recommend?

Thanks for your help 🙂

It's all personal preference from powerflow. So up to you which you choose.

You can get runner mounts which are made from the same material used in poly bushes.

Lambda sensor should just unscrew from the exhaust. Then just screw back into the new exhaust.
