I’ve just joined the group and looking for some help please. I’ve just brought a c7 A6 and decided to do an oil change. I’ve taken the filter housing cap off but the plastic carcas of the oil filter is stuck inside the housing. It seems to be stuck. I started to try and pry it off only to break off some of the plastic which feels quite brittle. Anyone had this happen to them before? Looks like a crap filer has been used. I would really appreciate any help / advice. Many thanks mark

Did you sort it be renewing the defective parts of the filter housing?

You may have sorted it, but you have not provided a solution. If you have had a problem, then others will have as well, so how about telling us how you got it sorted?

I’ve now ‘Unmarked’ the Solve until Mark kindly let’s us know what he did to solve the issue.
