Heated wing mirrors

Featured Replies

Thank you.  That explains why mine worked after a mmi reset  it put the setting to auto.  How crazy. Not a mention anywhere in the manual.  Anything to stop us turning on and off as we would wish.

Quick update. This morning @ 12degrees with the MMI drive select on Auto the mirrors worked perfectly and cleared rain water within a few minutes!

Thanks for this information Sam.  I just got a 22 plate the other week and struggled with finding out this information as the handbook is very poor.  Being in Scotland with our weather, kind of important to get the mirrors working properly.

I have the car back from Stirling Audi. Here is the result of the investigation into the mirrors failing to operate except in low temperatures.
The drive select mode “efficiency” only allows operation of mirror demist in low temperatures.
The garage have reset the mode to “auto” and the mirrors now operate on demand by the driver!
They say all modes except “efficiency” will allow the mirrors to operate as expected by using the switch on the door panel.

I really hope this information is helpful to all owners of 2025 year model cars!

Does this now mean that the heated mirrors work in efficiency mode?

It means that if the car is in efficiency mode the mirrors only heat up in low temperatures, I believe that is under 5deg C . In all other drive  modes the mirrors will operate on demand ie without temperature control.

Thank you, that explains it. The York garage only tell me that the efficiency mode does not allow the heater mirrors to work at all. Unbelievable.

as a matter of interest. Do you know whether the “individual” mode works for the heated mirrors? I was just wondering if we could set this mode settings to operate close to “efficiency “ and get the heated mirrors.

My understanding is that they should operate on demand in any mode except efficiency.
