rear window heater stopped working for last 2 days

Featured Replies

strangely my rear heater on the window worked monday and for the last year with a light on the switch, but for the last 2 days when -2 at 6am on the way to work, nothing

scanned with OBD11 and no fault.

under long coding DD, says heated rear window installed.

had 4 faults, all cleared, but still no luck

ideas?

Hell James,

Check for fractured wires in flexible harness twixt body and tailgate. Always aggravated by low temperatures affecting flexibility of wires.

If these are OK, you need to look for breaks in the element - having tested you have 12volts at the connector onto the element.
Kind regards,

Gareth.

‘Fancy’ (potential trouble facility) MMI. What on earth was wrong with just pressing a button if you wanted to switch the HRW on, without ticks on screen?
