MMi Issue on A6

Featured Replies

Hey all. Ive been scrolling through forum after forum trying sort my MMI out. I dont have a tool to scan the system. Ive tried the MMI reset buttons combo, ive checked all fuses, ive checked the luggage compartment etc.. and i cant find anything. I managed to get my climate control unit out this morning, but I cant seem to find the actual MMI unit to check? Also noticed when I removed the climate control it looks like there is a connector missing? (please see attached photo)

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Car is a 2008 A6 Avant 2.0. Im assuming I dont have the BOSE audio as i dont see any BOSE branding.

The issues is my MMI screen and control panel are both completely dead, no lights on the panel, screen doesnt even turn on and then off, its just dead. Im at a loss

Just done the check on the amp in the boot, and there is no optical light coming on in

I'd recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. Or get an auto electrician to check the power.

the connector... would getting the optical bypass solve the issue?
