Child locks

Featured Replies

I have an A4 black edition (2023).  The rear offside passenger door has the child lock permanently on.  There are switches on the drivers door to put the child locks on/off but these make no difference.  Is there a manual override?

Years ago there would have been individual setting levers in the edge of each door. I don't know if that is the case nowadays but worth looking. Does the handbook mention anything?

There is a hole where, in past, you may have been able to manually select a setting but there is nothing which looks as though it would ‘turn’.  Handbook just refers to door switches.
