Hi all 

Wifes 2015 Q3 2.0 TDI goes into limp mode when cold. Probably 1-2 times a week, restart engine and it’s fine - the glow plugs symbol flash. Hasn’t done stop start in absolutely ages too.

anyone else had the same issue?

They are common symptoms of a dying battery. Get it tested and renewed if necessary. If it is more then six years old forget the testing and just renew it. Don't forget to get any new battery coded to the car.

Thanks Cliff it’s 10 year old next week and still on original battery so will take it to local specialist
