Jepor Posted Tuesday at 10:06 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:06 PM Hi all , For the last few weeks I've noticed a clicking noise from front of car when turning left , it doesn't happen all the time, it can't be intermittent, I've checked rubber boots and all intact and nothing seem lose , to me it sounds like a CV Joint , could it be possible to have a cv joint noise intermittently and with everything intact ?? Thanks
Hamza Posted Tuesday at 10:14 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:14 PM (edited) Hey Jepor, right today when I had my A6 checked for wheel bearings an Audi was checked for clicking sounds when turning left or right at slow speeds, they did find a bad CV joint, one had a tear, so maybe this helps. Jepor Posted Tuesday at 10:47 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 10:47 PM Thanks Hamza , was it 2 joints or 1 you had to change ? As you could hear it when you turned both ways . Like I said I have no rips in the boot but defo a clicking sound intermittently, seems to click when I turn left but not everytime , I really notice when turning left and accelerating out of a junction . I thought the click would be there all the time if my CV was in trouble?
