So the haldex has basically failed leaking and noisy. Have been advised to replace or repair cost of a new unit seems prohibitive, so looking for a low mileage replacement or an overhauled exchange unit with warranty.

A forum search for various Parts Wanted, should point you to on-line car breaker link sites such as Partsfinder - there are more. Also search  EBay etc.

What mileage has yours covered, and when was the Haldex unit last serviced. Tyre thread depth been uniform on all wheels during your ownership?
