Hey all,

I am looking to replace the single din Concert radio unit in my A3 8PA 1.6 to a Pioneer MVH-S420BT, however I’ve seen that I may need to do some wire cutting and buy extra looms?

Can somebody explain to me very simply how to do it myself?

Or is there a way to buy a plug and play with no extra work?

(See attached images for exact unit models and numbers)

Unfortunately there is no simple solution to changing from one radio brand to another. Functions are different, plugs/sockets are different, wire colours are different, so there is always some wire cutting to do. To make matters worse, some eBay sellers are not very helpful in supplying the right conversion wiring.

Thank you for answering, I think it might be easier so if I just get the bluetooth adapter for the back of the original Concert unit instead as I am looking for minimal hassle.

Try speaking to these people about what you want to do and what you'll need

Car Stereo Car Audio | Dynamic Sounds | Car Stereo System ...

They seem to be very good and not too expensive.
