mleighton Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Has anyone else experienced this? The cooling fan comes on when the engine starts - even when stone cold - and remains on until the engine is switched off. Accompanied by a drive system warning light. My local workshop has been unable to identify the fault. I will need to take it to Audi I guess, but would like to anticipate what it might be.
cliffcoggin Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago It's usually a faulty temperature sensor/control module. Diagnosis with a decent OBD reader should reveal the fault.
mleighton Posted 6 hours ago Author Posted 6 hours ago Thanks - that doesn't sound too serious then.....
cliffcoggin Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Not too serious, but also not cheap to fix depending on what needs to be renewed.
mleighton Posted 2 hours ago Author Posted 2 hours ago Thanks Cliff. Yeah I wouldn't expect it to be cheap tbh.🙂 Having to just put up with it for now until it can be seen, so will just be pleased to get it sorted.
