bt80k Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Back again just started a refurb of front calipers, struts wishbones etc and will probably be replacing either the drive shafts as a whole or refurbing them with new joints but which manufacturers should I be looking to buy from as places like eBay are awash with different ones and I'd rather have decent quality items that are going to last but at a reasonable price. Cheers
Turlough Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago My classic Audi mechanic always tells me to buy Ferodo when buying brake parts, good quality and reasonable price. 1
Magnet Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago It’s Brembo for me for brake parts - often bought off reputable sellers on eBay. Other parts:- I favour Febi etc. usually bought at competitive prices from Parts in Motion ( who also supply via. eBay. Let us know what you think Tony. Regards, Gareth. p.s. Turlough - how old is your mechanic? 1
bt80k Posted 4 hours ago Author Posted 4 hours ago Cheers Gareth I've just got Febi front hubs and wheel bearing kit along with a Frenkit caliper recon kit for my S2 front caliper conversion upgrade 🤞 but may need cv joints or complete shafts depending on their condition once off and wishbones.

In Mk 3 Cortina days - when you couldn’t give them away, unlike now, when they aren’t affordable! - The two makes of brake shoes and pads to buy were Ferodo and Mintex. Now?? Like Cortinas , things have moved on. Wouldn’t any longer be my choice, but…
