Edward Newgate Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Hey guys, I have a 2022 Audi A4. I was wondering if anyone has any idea what this noise is. It started recently and it's always faintly present but worse at higher speeds. Please see the audio below, also attached to the post. https://jumpshare.com/s/XgCbBgWRWPYWEI5k3ncw The noise really becomes apparent at 0:20 onwards, when I hit 40 mph. I can't quite describe it in words, it's a sort of high pitched noise constantly in the background and sounds like something rotating? Seems to be coming from the right side of the car. Any ideas? Thank you! Copy of AUDI noise.m4a
cliffcoggin Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Sorry Edward, I can not hear anything strange in your recording. It's not unusual that members post audio recordings in the hope that odd noises can be identitifed, but rarely can we hear the noise in question. You have become attuned to the noise so you can hear it much more readily than we can. 1
Edward Newgate Posted 4 hours ago Author Posted 4 hours ago (edited) Thank you for responding. That's a good point, maybe it's just me. It's not the roaring of the engine but can you perhaps hear something in the background, like a whirring that peaks around 0:23 and then continues steadily. I can hear it closer and louder than the engine noise. Also it doesn't seem to change as I move the steering wheel around. Edited 4 hours ago by Edward Newgate

Edward Newgate Posted 3 hours ago Author Posted 3 hours ago Thank you. I'll monitor it and see if I can make the sound more pronounced. It could be in my head as in London it's rare to get up to 40mph!
