Hi just replace it they are cheap enough and at the top of the engine bay, easy peasy.

Hi the oe ones are Bosch in a poncey Audi box which apparently makes them about £140 dearer, if you look at your original unit it will have both the Bosch and Audi part numbers on it, once you have the numbers go fishing on the internet, can highly rate parts in motion on eBay, unless you really want an expensive box.
