Spares genuine

Featured Replies

Anyone know how much a genuine 2017 RS 5 front bumper, O/S headlight  & wing costs please

Are you talking second hand or new? If you are , you are into many hundreds, four figures even. Just check with Audi?
If secondhand, register your ‘wants’ with on-line breaker websites such as Partsfinder - there are more.

Regards,

Gareth.

Yea thanks for that, it's an insurance job, aquaplaned in storm floris, 3 90° swings , nearly got away with it but last second dabbed the central, gutted, just trying to work through the costing I've been given & it's like the spares don't exist new 😂

If (in caps) the parts are obsolete ( which would surprise) then the insurers are likely to write it off, since they cannot repair it, so is the parts cost of obsolete parts a relative question here?
Could you be more explicit in what you actually mean, and if the parts are available new, what is the relevance of the cost of the parts? The insurers will calculate whether it becomes an economical repair or not.

If not, you could request keeping the salvage and getting an independent repair carried out.
Is this car still with you or a repairer, or has it already been collected by Copart or similar?

It's with the chosen garage who have said its repairable so just waiting. They have said the damage is superficial.

It's waiting clearance from the insurance, the garage have said they won't write it off, my concern is if they do. So getting prepared. Cause the car is a beauty other than the damage  & I don't want it writing off. When I try Google for pricing it only throws back used items so cannot get a good estimate, garage saying £12000 estimate. So that's why I'm asking

Can’t see 2017 model, so have chosen 2018. You can double check yourself on LLL Parts.

Wing without ancillaries to fit, primed £1,481.

Bumper cover, primed £1,676, however there are multiple components that attach, parking sensors, front grill, spoiler, headlight washers, fitting kit, then you have bumper carrier behind it, etc. If the bumper had carbon sections, then you’re into a grand for each section. Some of it may be transferable from the old bumper if intact.

Headlight, LED Matrix, £2,183 as an example.

Paint, labour and VAT. You can see how it adds up.

Yea Sparticus, just the feeling I had, couldn't find the pricing but my guessing wasn't far away. Most parts behind the bumper seem OK including the radar sensor but obviously covers blanks etc will be found on stripping. The main grill in the centre is untouched, like I said main components are wing headlight & bumper + skirt no bits are cheap 🙃

Many thanks for the great work Richard.

We are, as Steve Q says, a helpful group on here, but it seems the information you required SteveRS5 was understandably just a phone call away.

I’m still confused since you said   ‘…it’s like the spares don’t exist now’.

So did you indeed contact an Audi dealer, and did they tell you that?
That of course is pivotal to your situation.

Gareth.

No Gareth just googled them & everything was used. Thought one of you guys would have a good idea before I checked with Audi. Should here that it's been cleared by the insurance soon hopefully. But thanks for everyone's assistance

Thanks Steve,

So the parts aren’t obsolete then, as inferred in your second post, it’s just that (understandably) Google didn’t come up with dealer prices for new parts -?
