Gear box leak help

Featured Replies

Hi guys only had my Audi A6 about a month it’s a 2.0 tdi 2012 manual it has a gear box leak I would love to know where it’s coming from, most garages don’t want to entertain it because it would have to come off ramp etc before they can put it all back together, is there anyone had this before would it be the drive shaft seals ? I’ve added a pic to show where it’s wet thanks guys

Could very well be drive shaft seals on inner CV. Clean off oil residue with degreaser and jet-wash and then review in a week or so.

Hi its definitely the rear crank seal behind the ring gear, [common problem] and its engine oil not gear oil.

Steve.
