Stumped help! p062700 fuel pump issue

Featured Replies

evening all, really hoping someone can help,

just got a new 2010 a3 1.6D cab and its broke down, so i stuck the code reader on and its saying fuel pump control circuit open,

there is power to the fuse on the door panel, and I've bought a new fuel pump plugged it in (but not fitted in the tank as will return it if its not the pump) but its not trying to pump when the ignition is switched on. or when the car is cranking.

bought a fuel pump start relay not knowing which one it was, i swapped it for all 3 behind the plastic panel under the steering wheel but still nothing

what could it be? i cant see how a wire would suddenly break

any advice really appreciated!!!
