Audi A3 2010 Gearbox sealed for life?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

First time posting in here after buying an Audi following a number of VW's.

Went easy for first time purchase for local runs. Audi A3 2010 1.4 tfsi Auto. S Tronic 80k mileage bought yesterday. I called Audi Birmingham to enquire about gearbox service as I'm familiar with the DSG on my VW GTD and stay on top of gearbox service.

Audi just called me back and said, it is "sealed for life" and doesn't need gearbox service. Is this true??

Thanks in advance and excited for the Audi journey ahead!

Hi this is the usual line they feed a lot of customers so when your box fails they will say NO we said it was filled for life, either way no such thing and any local garage should be able to service it for you.
