I have only tried the Audi main agent at Grange-over-Sands who suggested looking on line but I am not sure exactly what I am looking for and so I thought you guys with your experience could probably point me in the right direction.

 I have got the Audi part number which is 811419812A if this helps.

Enter your registration number into Parts in Motion ( Exeter) website.

It should come up with a choice of Apec (Part no. AST 6844) or Delphi TA 1069 for less than £8 each inc. postage. 
Put your Audi part number in an EBay search and you should come up with a choice of suppliers and brands, but my experience points to good service and competitive prices from P in M.

Thanks for the lead but unfortunately they are out of stock currently so I am still searching round.

P in M are out of stock? 
Have you tried other suppliers on EBay, and as a last resort - Autodoc? 
Use the aftermarket numbers as well.

Have ordered from the Auto Stop Shop who appear to have exactly what I am looking for.

 They should arrive later this week so fingers crossed.
