Water in Battery Compartment

Featured Replies

Had the car for a year, went to retrieve wheel nut key and found the battery compartment full of water ! Emptied it using aqua vac and now four weeks later its filling up again. Everything operates normally. Not disconnected battery yet for thorough search - any suggestions ?

Love the car btw

Hi Cliff, many thanks for the advice. I cannot find or see the mentioned washer pump and tried running it and looking but saw nothing. The problem remains sadly, any other suggestions ?

Thanks

Sorry to mislead. What I meant to say was run the washer pump (which is actually under the bonnet) and watch the rear wiper motor and the pipe that runs through it. It is the seals in the wiper motor that often fail.

Thanks - will run the test tomorrow. so your saying the seal may have gone allowing rain water to get in ? The liquid is definitely not washer fluid for sure.
