MyAudi App - recent(ish) app updates have broken it?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

New here so 'Hello'!

Just wondered if anyone else is experiencing issues with the MyAudi App after it was updated 6-8 weeks ago?

Have a ticket with the App support bods open at Audi, but its like sending emails into a black hole.

Basically all features of the app were working fine - then the app update seemed to break it as follows:

  • Unlock the car from the app & then lock it from the app - get an error messing in the app telling me "Vehicle not completely closed - check doors, bonnet, tailgate etc" - However dismiss the message and the Vehicle status shows fully locked.
  • The app indicates the car is 'Charging' yet its not even plugged in 🙂

Also interesting, on the night the app automatically updated on my phone (within a couple of minutes looking at the tie the update applied) the car hazard lights came on - no alarm, just like someone had pressed the hazard warning light button. Verified this by looking at my CCTV timestamp when the hazards started & the time the app updated on my phone - very odd.......

Just me or a wider issue?

Thanks

Bob

I get the same error with locking.

It might be worth deleting the app, reinstalling it to see if that fixes it.

....this was Audi's suggested fix, along with sending them version numbers, etc etc before they went radio silent - no joy.

Just trying to determine if these faults are universal across all users, Android only, Apple only etc. (I'm android).

If there's enough responses here to indicate a large number are seeing the same issue, I'll submit my evidence back to Audi - annoying paying for something that does not work (properly) 🙂

I'm Android too.  Car is petrol, and no indication that it's charging though.  And no hazard lights issue that I'm aware of it noticed.

Thanks for the response. This is the sort of feedback I'm looking for. As far as how I get on - I don't think Ill get much of a response from Audi unless I can stir up some more responses like the one from Asics - i.e. a bit more evidence that the unlocking / locking from the app generates an error. If I don't get anywhere then I'll just ask Audi for a refund because the service is not fit for purpose.

Thanks all.

I get an occasional warning in the app that the windows aren’t closed when they patently are. Usually closing down the app and reopening again changes the Status to “Everything OK”.  myAudi app on iPhone.
