Help Please - Q5 2014 Parking Sensors

Featured Replies

I'm having a nightmare with my 2014 Q5 front and rear parking sensors, they seem to work fine when the weather is warm, or when the car has warmed up but when its cold or damp, there's just no response at all, like theyre turned off (but theyre not). Wondering if this is a common fault and if anyone has any ideas on what's causing it.

Thanks 😊

Welcome Louise,

Do you get a continuous longer lasting bleep when you select reverse - when the rear sensors are playing up?
Regards,

Gareth.

No its like its not picking anything up at all, I had an issue when I first got the car where one at the front was showing something against it so would get the continuous beep and then the sensors would shutdown but this looks like its working, but picking nothing up. Then randomly or with warmer weather, they work perfectly fine

Apologies, but do you get the normal short beep when you select reverse?

Yeah they appear to be working in every sense, it beeps and brings up the screen, they're just not picking anything up.
