Hi, I’m having an issue with the cooling fan on my B9.

The engine is overheating, with temperatures going above 90°C. The AC is on, but the fan still doesn’t activate.

I tried activating the cooling fan using OBD, but I get a fault: no response from the fan.

I’ve checked the fuses and relay, and both are fine. The thermostat is also working properly.

I also tested a spare cooling fan, but it didn’t work either, so it doesn’t seem like the fan itself is the problem.

I checked the fan connector with a multimeter. The small red wire shows no voltage, while the other three wires do. The main wire reads slightly below 12V (around 11.57V).

Has anyone experienced a similar issue or have any ideas what might be causing this?

My guess is that one of the wires may be damaged or broken somewhere.

Hi if the aircon fan works but the main fan won't its as cliff said the control module which normally involves replacing the fan pack as a lot of fan packs you can't just replace the module.

Hi,

Thank you for your response. I have a single fan, not a dual fan.
