It should read as 1 ALMOST very happy Audi owner but there wasn’t that choice. I’m a newbie to Audi ownership and to this forum and I look forward to picking up lots of good tips.

However my first question is prior to buying my Audi A5.

I am new to hybrids and need some advice/ help please.

I do about 3000 miles per year, mostly local driving between 5 and 25 miles per trip with the occasional 50 to 60 mile trip part of which is on a motorway. Can anyone tell me what is the approximate life expectancy of the batteries. I believe it’s a 12 volt plus a 48 volt battery.

Also, what is the probable total replacement cost of these batteries, either at a dealership, or perhaps at an Audi specialist. Although having asked the replacement cost to 3 local AUDI/VW specialists they all said they don’t deal with the replacement of batteries, so it looks like a main dealership job.

Any fairly prompt help anyone can give will be much appreciated, as I am due to pick up and pay for the car this Thursday, the 27th May.

Thanks, I’ve messaged you, but the answer is NO I won’t be buying the Audi A5. Thanks to you. Probably saved me slot of heartache! I now need to leave this forum as I will no longer be a budding Audi owner. No idea how to do this but thanks to all participants.
