Engine whirring noise

I’ve noticed recently that I’m getting a whirring noise between about 2-4 rpm when the cars up to temp. The warmer it gets the more noticeable it is. I thought it might be something to do with the drive train etc but when it’s happening, if I disengage the clutch and the engine drops to idle the noise goes away. Bring the clutch pedal back up again, noise returns? Sounds abit like a wheel bearing

Hi guys, I recently purchased an OBDeleven device and scanned my car. It's showing fault code P191A00. I checked the camshaft adaptation (Bank 1) value, and it's reading between 0.70 and 0.86°, which seems to be well within the normal range. Could this still indicate a faulty crankshaft or camshaft position sensor, or is the issue likely to be something else? Would it be worth replacing either sensor, or are there other checks I should carry out first? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

As I understand it, a proposal document was issued on 6th July, aimed at better respecting emission requirements for used vehicles. Please don’t take the following as gospel, but a brief scan suggests, cat backs, DPF, Adblue deletes will be taken as unacceptable since the vehicle has been modified from the manufacturer’s construction. It is likely that any mapping of ECUs will fall under the same umbrella. If passed, this could be implemented as early as mid/late 2027. Anyone, who has had such

Hi all, Ive got an rs7 c8 and recently a few days ago i noticed my steering feeling abnormally light. Even when changing into dynamic/RS mode it feels the same and doesnt stiffen up like it used to when I bought it a couple weeks back. Hi all, Recently bought a 2012 62 plate Q5 S Line + TDI Quattro and thought I'd decode the VIN to work out it's details. But, 4th, 5th and 6th digits are all Zs, so not able to work out Series and Engine. Couple of on line decoders can't work it out and the WSM Spec guide doesn't have Zs. WAUZZZ8R1DA00xxxx This the same on the reg doc, label on the bulkhead and dash and in the service book. Reg doc lists Variant as XCGLCQ1 and Version as QM6B2023R8R7C7MGEM1 and Engine number as CGLC188xxx Any

hello everyone im new here and i recently got a 2006 audi a3 8p 2.0tdi quattro at first it just had an idle issue so the revs on idle would just go up to 1k and after some time would go back to normal then when i push it past around 135km/h it would ussually put the car in limp mode and after a restart its bakc to normal but when i woke up today went outside started it everything seemes normal i started driving got up to fourth gear accelerated and started to hear a knock but only while accelera

Hello I am not asking for help, but I thought I would share what resolved an issue on my A6 2015 2L TDI Ultra. 2 years ago, I first got this same issue. My local garage couldn't find any error codes with their ODB reader, a Snapon one I think, so they recommended that I take it to Audi! Audi told me it was the Adblue pump and after just under £1500 spondoolies later I was back on the road, feeling skint. On 2017 model Audi A5 Sportback, the electric rear tailgate struts are failing - once opened the tailgate starts drooping, and dropping down. I have been quoted £550 per strut which seems excessive. On line (non genuine, I guess), these can be picked up for a fraction of this (£50ish). Does anyone have any experience of these, and/or any recommendations on a reliable supplier?

Hello all thanks for letting me join , I have a 2016 S3 8V and have an oil leak from the oil level sensor . Replaced the sensor with an OEM part but the leak continues. Above the sump is bone dry along the sump is dry aswell managed to check it on the lift at work.Any advice will be appreciated

Not sure if this should be a B8 or B9 forum post but here goes... 2016 plate 2.0 TDI avant with the DEUA engine - everything suggests closer to a B9 than B8 including my recent replacement undertray and 8W5 on the options card. When at rest with the gearbox in neutral I have on occasions struggled to get into 1st or 2nd gear. As I move to the left gate, then push up or down there's an absolute resistance.
