Just bought a 2004 A4 Convertible

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Following my call for advice the other day (http://www.audiownersclub.com/forums/topic/3285-about-to-buy-a-2004-a4-convertible-advice-welcome/?p=4942) I've bought the A4 Cabriolet I was asking about there.

It's running very nicely (a quality I've come to expect from ageing Audis, based on prior experience) and I'm very happy with the purchase so far.

I bought this car to replace a Mazda 6 that's only a year older. The Mazda is really starting to feel old - still basically runs ok - but often doesn't go into gear (even though it's an automatic!), drivers window doesn't work, ABS fault light permanently on (but garage can't find a fault) and it suffers from terrible condensation!

I thought I'd just get something relatively cheap (paid £3.5k for this) to keep me going for another year or two. Now I have the A4 I'm thinking it should do me for a lot longer than that (although we'll see, of course).

Glad you're enjoying the new Audi!

Surprising to hear about all the problems with the Mazda. Normally Jap cars are fairly well screwed together - well apart from the cheap feeling interior plastics of course!  :)
