Wiper Problem & Bushes

Hi,

This is my first post on here however i am not new to the forums as I've been browsing around as a guest ever since i bought my 2005 A3 4 months ago.

This A3 has done me extremely well, drove a good 8000 miles perfectly and I've had no problems up till now.

My rear wiper has stopped working all together. Before it squeaked and stopped half way and use to come on at random moments. After having a look and spraying a bit of WD40 on it, its  not really moved at all. Now its dead. Wont move at all. I have looked around and some say it could be the relay? motor? Im unsure i just wondered if anybody had come across this problem before or if anybody had an idea what it could be?

It all started after a mate had slightly moved it whilst not on.

My second problem is my front wishbone bushes, i got my motor inspected by an Audi Specialist and they have found that my fore wishbone bushes were split. This explains why my right side tyre is bald on the inner, they quoted bushes would cost £54 including VAT but £80 Labour, does this sound suitable? It sounds a little much but i don't really know how hard it is to change the bushes in the wishbone. Also if i went somewhere else that were not Audi specialist i feel i could be losing out on a proper job done.

Any information back is appreciated.

Thank you,

Have you checked the fuse first of all for the rear wiper? If not I would expect it to be the motor itself. With regards to the labour costs I would think £80 is going to be around 1 hours labour for a specialist so possibly not that high. May be worth asking them what the quoted time is?
