hi my name is Owen, i am currently on the hunt for an a4 2.0 tdi sline.

 

 

ideally id like to have the special edition as i think it would be a dream car to own.

 

 

id like some advice from the people that actually own an a4 so i know exactly what to expect from an a4. Are there any common problems that i need to be aware about, what model i should get and what engine would be best

 

 

i currently drive a bmw 320 (177) diesel and its fully loaded with the usuals i.e leather, satnav, m sport trim and my previous car before that was a golf mk5 gt170. 

 

 

i have 9k to spend so im looking at getting a slightly older car so i cat have more spec for my money but its got to have heated seats due to back problems.

I bought a 2007 2.0 tdi 140 sline cab 1 month ago, so far so good. I love the car.  I am starting to get frustrated though as it seems like removing the front bumper is going to be a "regular" 

 

I bought a HID kit (for the front fogs) only to find out today that the bumper needs to come off to get to the bulb :-( 

 

a full tank costs £80 ish ( shell v power diesel) and i'm getting 500 miles for that, this will hopefully increase when i get used to the car and stop "seeing what she'l do)

 

remapped (superchips bluefin after one week) K&N panel direct replacement mean she is ready to go whenever an overtake is necessary or you get the urge. 

 

Ride is good although s line suspension is a little stiff, engine a tad noisy at idle, good stereo, and in my opinion looks more modern than similar age bmw's
