A4 seat cable

Featured Replies

Hi all, this is my first post so any help will be greatly appreciated.

The reach adjustment cable snapped last year and my garagista couldn't get the same length cable from Audi, they insisted that the one they supplied was the correct one for my car.

But the one they supplied was considerably longer than the original, after much to and froing with Lincoln Audi main dealership we decided to fit the replacement.

This entailed re-routing the cable to take up the slack, and it worked, until yesterday, and afore mentioned garagista is reluctant to do it again as it is a free fix under parts and labour warranty.

My point is that some where some one must know the part number for the cable some where, and that information would enable me to purchase the correct cable so that my wife can reach the pedals again.

As I mentioned at the start of the post, any help is most gratefully appreciated, regards to all.
