stevo_no1 Posted January 24, 2016 Share Posted January 24, 2016 i bought an audi a3 1.8t 150bhp,agu code. car is completely standard. after a 320mile drive home the car has developed a rattle under gentle acceleration at about 2500-3000rpm, it also rattles when i lift of the throttle but it goes away when it drops below 2500rpm or when i accelerate, i am pretty sure it is the turbo as when i take if for a joyfull drive then turn it off, when i restart the car it gasses me out. this doesnt happen very often but i was told that it sounded like turbo seals, i think the bearing may be rattling now, ive not had the chance to check. iwas looking at the ko3 rebuild kit for around £30. i am confident about doing the work myself. has anyone rebuilt there turbo thereselves. thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
