Erratic Wiper Stalk

Featured Replies

Just driven home in two hours of torrential rain using wipers in all modes to suit conditions

A mile from home after about 90 miles the control stalk became erratic to the point i cannot shut the wipers off from the normal stalk position and the dash board lights that show fuel consumption went to a < 2.00 > and that as gone and no mileage showing.

An electrical glitch for sure but any ideas appreciated.

Looked under bonnet all dry.

Did go through some surface water prior to the wiper glitch but surely all controls for wipers in inside the cabin

Car is a 2000 A4 2.4 SE Petrol . Automatic V6

Few hours later seems to have settled

Maybe as i used the wiper stalk maybe i was touching computer reset etc until it confused itself / fairly new to the Audi

yes seems to have settled so wondered if it was the excess water due to blocked drain plugs contributing to the problem
