Hi, my friend has had the water cooler brake in the auto box so there is water in the oil, do you think it will be ok just to flush out the oil, 3/4 times and the box be ok he did drive it like that for a few miles i shuddered when he told me that, the garage (in Tenerife) was frightening him with the gear box will be useless he better to buy a new one, me thinks not a good flush should return it to a good working condition, what do you think ?

I would agree with you, a good drain down and then refill (along with a filter change) and it will probably be okay.

Certainly worth a try to start with as its the cheapest option and see how it goes.

they are on with the job now so i will report back when it has been done ans tested, they are quoting 800€ a lot steep if you ask me but we shall see.
