Brad-B5
Hi all Just wondering if it's worth doing an EGR delete on the B5? Regards Bradley
rbdazza
Is the B5 a PD? Scrap that question, Is it a diesel? If so, yes !!!
Brad-B5
Yes a diesel :) so is it hard to do, anything that could go horrible wrong? I've heard people just shutting it off through a code or something.
rbdazza
and yours is a PD right? you can remove the EGR and replace it with silicone hose. that will get rid of all your problems but leave you with a light on your dash. you'll need to get it mapped to remove the light, get it powered up at the same time. for the PD you can get a black smoke remap for like £50, you just need to find someone with the right lead to put it on for you

jbh110tdi
yip first thing I do with a diesel is do the EGR delete.. Ive mainly had the older 110 AFN VE engines but yea Ive found better MPG, improved throttle response and cleaner running on every one Ive deleted the EGR on.
