Hi Matthew....welcome to the Forum

It sounds like a coolant temperature sensor or the connection to it.

Worth checking the live data for the sensor and see if it fluctuates....worse case scenario, replace it to eliminate it....there not too expensive!

Let us know how you get on with this problem

Cheers  Trevor

Hi trevor

since the mentioned Temp coolant sensor was fitted i took the car about 200 miles saturday and when i stopped it leaked all the coolant out now its empty the sensor flashed up on the dash board the red temp sign and the temp gauge hit 100+

any thoughts???

thanks

matt

oh dear!  either the sensor wasn't fitted correctly and it's lost it's seal or similar or it's got an air lock and the coolant has belched out from the expansion tank/bottle and just needs topping up. Either way I would take it back and get them to sort it, especially if it wasn't doing it beforehand

Hi Trevor

The car has been ok for about a few days ive done about 300 miles in it then the other day re started it after using it earlier in day and it started spluttering again

i am starting to lose my patience with this issue now....

Coil packs changed

Coolant Temp sensor changed

breather valve changed

Any other suggestions??? Carbon build up?? Filter block

Im at my wits end now i have been trying to get this car sorted and 18 mths later and about 2.5k spent...
