Hi all,

So I'm potentially in the market for a S3 (8P) and as I don't know anything about them I was wondering what I should be looking out for in terms of things to avoid. I'm looking at spending around 10k max with a view of spending the next couple of years tuning it up to at least Stage 2+ minimum. How reliable are the engines? With higher mileages is there certain things that I'll need to have changed/replaced and what sort of costs would I be looking at?

I shall leave the response to your specific question to those members who actually own an S3, but my only input would be to take your time to find the right car (low miles, service history, etc)

Hi and thanks! Yeah I'm in no rush as I'm coming from an E92 M3 (which I don't want to part with) but doing the research in advance. Never owned an Audi so not sure what to look out for or what might fail at higher mileages.
