Audi A4 B7 oil usage

Featured Replies

Months ago I had oil too up due to a cracked oil collier. 16/08/17 oil light came on I checked under car no leaks or anything obvious to save something's wrong. I checked dip stick an In fact it's on minimum oil level. Current mileage 104514. I've emailed the Audi centre for dates and mileage 1) so I can see what I've done since last oil change and 2) to see if this is normal oil useage for a 2 litre tfsi?

Worth keeping an eye on as it maybe where its all settled down but if its not leaking externally then it can only be leaking internally....e.g. into coolant or combustion which would be obvious by plumes of smoke or a radiator full of emulsified oil (like mayonaisse)

Ok I've done the calculations Audi had it April the oil light has gone off August leaving 1 litre left so full engine (engine oil capacity 4.5 litres) oil lasted four months and 2,535 miles I completed between last too up and now. (Audi from memory says 1000 miles between tops ups is acceptable). Therefore my roughly calculations I Need 4 litres of castrol 5w-30 oil costs £36 a pop and purchase maybe two a year to top car up until next service.
