I have been offered the Audi Complete service and maintenance for either 3 or 4 years. Just wanted to know views whether or not is good value for money. Trevor Posted October 30, 2017 Share Posted October 30, 2017 Hi Ruben....welcome to the Forum Maybe a good idea (if not too expensive) to take it out for the first few years of it's life as if its going to go wrong, it will be during this time and for warranty purposes then it's definitely a good way of tying your dealership into sorting any issues promptly and at no cost. Magnet Posted May 27, 2018 Share Posted May 27, 2018 Hello Rubén, The full devil will be in the detail and may include them changing chargeable items e.g.tyres etc. which you can obtain much cheaper elsewhere. Chances are, they will put this on a Longlife schedule so I it were me, I would be enquiring about the cost of such servicing over a 40k running period. My experience is that Longlife intervals can be as much as 18k so you might only need 2 services - and one brake fluid change after 2 years. As Rockindoc points out, if you are going to do 10k miles an hour then things are different , and you would want to employ air hostesses and be serving duty free! Enjoy the car. Only doing 10k per annum not per hour 🙂 It has been almost 5 months of ownership and everything is going well so far. I had to take the vehicle twice for some minor issues (automatic boot and lane assist). Now I am about to receive an A5 and the issue with audi complete care was considered again. £44 for 16k per annum only service and maintenance which seems pricey but at least provides peace of mind. Regarding additional packages, yes I was offered the overprice gap insurance and other things but bought them separetely from direct gap (good prices and for a further discount I suggest contacting Elizabeth directly). Apologies for my well out of date advice. So it's gone or going! Well done you - I don't buy a new pair if shoes every six months! Service plan on A5 -£44 and pricey? You can tell I am not very good at forums! For the A5 is £44 is per month for a 4 year contract. Service and Maintenance only and . £58 for Service/Maintenance and Tyres. New to car ownership as the Q5 was our first vehicle and I have no clue what additional costs are involved within the next 4 years. I'm on gas and air here just on the thought of it! Still, on the bright side, if you change it again in 6 months you will have only paid them £260 ish for nothing - might be mire economical! I decided not to go ahead and complaint to Audi due to the extra cost for 1 more month. I was keen on getting it not just for the service but what if the car needs brake pads, clutch replacement or other additional things included on the service/maintenance plan. I can send a cheque to your preferred charity if that helps 🙂 So I get the impression only newbies like me are paying for this service plans and if ownership is within 4 years not really needed. It's recommended that the water pump is changed at the same time. Clutch I'm not sure about though. I'm sure it's like the brakes as it wears in relation to your driving style. Only ever changed one clutch and that was on my old Escort at 100k miles. The on board computer will indicate when service is needed so I would say a service is needed every year if your doing 16k. Driving style and number of journeys will be a factor in the computers calculation. You will need to carry out the services for the 3 year Audi warranty. I went ahead as I got the original price quoted. I can still cancel the agreement so I will think about it for a bit longer and decide on whether or not to keep it. The Welsh and the Irish laugh to themselves- the Engish are on a learning curve ( am I allowed to say that!?) cambelt - never in 40k or 4 years. clutch . Current A3 on 146k on original clutch. Gap insurance and all the other extras are, in my view, where they get the money. They were more keen on that one and I had to chase them to actually get a quote on the service plan.
