  2. not a moan, just what i have done this week. it's on it's 3rd parking sensor module, first one didn't work so i took the nubers off it and bought a second hand one, that one didn't work was for an auto estate with towing pack, bought a brand new one from Audi using the part number from my original fitted one, still didn't work, contacted Volkstech in Maltby near me, told them the story and they told me that the module was the wrong module, seems the owner before me just bought any old module and fitted it, took it down to them today, they have managed to get my new module working with heads up display for rear parking sensor but unfortunatley can't get the front ones working as the module i have is a 4 port module and mine needs a 5 port module, so i have ordered yet another new one with the correct part number and hopefully that will sort that problem. (no Audi would not take the new one back i bought from them as i told them the part number) have taken it to be re gassed on the aircon today only to be told that my condenser has stopped working, so now i need to get that sorted. https://www.volkstechltd.co.uk/

  3. Personally, I would agree regarding after market parts, but mainly due to my own experience of using a .co.uk online company, which turned out to be overseas. After waiting weeks ithe part didn’t arrive and I end up going to the dealer. If I’d continued to drive I could’ve damaged the ABS unit.

  4. Great forum & thread. Came back to airport last night after 10 days and 30 minutes into journey home, the aforementioned brake servo restricted msg appeared on my 2019 A6 40 Tdi. Like many here I was ‘comforted’ by the “continue driving” text. Curious got that I am though, I thought I’d google a little his morning knowing that however minor, a trip to the dealer was going to leave me short a few hundred at best. Thanks to the good people on here, the car is now parked up, a spurious sensor ordered from eBay at a quarter the cost of Audi and a video tutorial on how to replace. I’ll post again in due course to update on the quality of the part from eBay. Thanks all! Frankie

  5. Hi I have power bled systems before after fitting a new ABS unit and rarely had a problem in all fairness you will be best served to use clear tube bleed pipe and have all four bleed nipples open and a gallon of brake fluid, should clear all bubbles after two and a half litres, nice paint again well done. Steve.

  6. Hi I am in the same boat my missus has chronic COPD so even washing up gets her breathless that is until we go round TK MAXX, try the pressure bleed as the ABS unit can't loose all of its fluid as the detent valves on the out flow shut off when the system pressure is lost. Steve

  7. Many thanks Frankie, Personally, I wouldn’t fit an aftermarket sensor - although some have- since saving some £s now, may cost dearly over a shorter period of time. Never scrimp on essential parts. For me, it would be a VAG sensor bought at discount every time, but of course it’s your call. Kind regards, Gareth.

  12. Oooh right I get you. I might be but I'm trying to get an understanding of the issues my car has. If you look at my previous forums. I've got an issue with my phone up screen not working and the radio not coming on. And when I've put a diagnostic on it .. one of the faults was a control module so was trying to rule out what each one does and if I change them would it make any difference

  13. Hi you can try good old fashioned pedal pumping with an assistant or buy an EZEEBLEED kit. Steve.
