  1. Shocking really for a main dealer for sure, this isn’t the case for me but nevertheless still bad practice in my opinion 👍

  2. Had a main dealer do this to my 435d, and put new pads on rubbish rotors.. Trying to flog a car with minimal expense. Thankfully I spotted it before than handover. Fun times.

  4. Many thanks Nigel, Probably not bought from a main dealer due to age of vehicle -? I think what you have suffered from is cheapest repair option. Although I understand where you are coming from in respect of ‘always fit in pairs’ ( discs and pads), I don’t necessarily think this is always necessary - proviso:- the disc surfaces are reasonably free from scoring, and will remain within thickness tolerance through the life of the new set of pads, and are not suffering from vibration on braking. The latter may actually be introduced on fitting new discs. In your case, there is absolutely no doubt that the discs are totally shot, and your principle should have applied without question. Perhaps you could let us know how you get on. Kind regards, Gareth.

  6. No problem. Just a little update, post flush. We’re away this weekend, so have put 150mi solid drive since the flush. The car is now much hotter. Still nowhere near where my wife’s GLA gets, but I wasn’t cold on the drive. @Redwolf do you have Carista by chance? I do, and found a HVAC calibration which checked and set all the flaps on the vents. That would (I think) throw an error is any we’re stuck. Don’t know if that helps or not.

  7. Well fair do’s to you - as we say in these parts:- You have won the major prize for the greatest lack of detail of any post within the last year! Why?? No name, no model, no year, no location. Oh, and no Please! Perhaps we can ask you a question - how are we supposed to help you - whoever you are?? You aren’t AI by any chance? No highly unlikely.

  8. I posted to this forum last year when I had an A3 TFSIe from the Reading Sytner dealership. I had exactly the same issue. I finally got mine into the dealership and got it repaired after lots and lots of nagging. What they did, I have no idea. By this time I was so disgusted by the way Audi handled not just my case, but all the cases that were reported to them (littered through various forums) that I sold the car back to the dealership at a loss to me. I'll even go so far to say that I'm so tarnished by the whole exeprience, I'll probably never touch another Audi.
