  1. Hi Rick welcome! :) Do you have VAGCOM? Plugging that in and checking for faults would probably be my first point of call as that may well point you in the right direction. I would think the turbo would be unlikely but you never know. My guess would be either the DPF (clogged DPF can also cause flashing glow plug light and power loss IIRC) or some kind of sensor. Hopefully plugging in VAGCOM should point you in the right direction though...
  2. No worries, let us know how you get on.
  3. That's good news Robin, yes please keep us updated! :)
  4. Depends what you want out of it. If it's more performance info then look at the Torque Pro app and the relevant adaptor. Otherwise, VAGCOM is usually the way to go on VAG cars for more technical stuff.
  5. I've also had intermittent issues on cars with xenons before and often it turns out just to be the bulb.
  6. You can scan with VAGCOM and it will tell you which sensor is faulty or I believe I have read somewhere: With the ignition on (no engine), engage reverse and jump out after the constant beep. Put your ear close to each sensor and you should hear a clicking. The one that doesn't click is faulty. Once you replace the faulty sensor that should cure the fault.
  7. Hi Bond, welcome! :)
  8. I'm not too sure. I think I've read somewhere that they do fit but it's not straightforward and some messing about is required. Be sure to stick some photos up if you do attempt it though, sounds like a good project!
  9. I have seen other with this problem before and Audi dealers have reported it as a "telephone control unit" or module problem which I think can be quite an expensive part from the dealer
  10. Hmmm strange, the only thing I can think is that either you didn't put enough in or there is a fault, as I believe the system if meant to automatically turn the light off after it has been topped up. May be worth checking the manual for the exact quantity required?
  11. Hi Prince, welcome to the club and congrats on the purchase :)
  12. If it's got loads of history it sounds like it's been looked after :) Just make sure you keep on top of the maintenance with regular service/oil change etc and it should look after you. The 1.8T is a nice engine and easy to tune if you decide to go down that route! B)
  13. Hi Pete, welcome to the club! :) Hmmm not too sure what that could be on the armrest in the A4. My guess would be something optional, such as an additional socket or charger that your car is not fitted with? Perhaps post a photo so we can see?
  14. Do you get a constant tone for a few seconds and then nothing after putting it in reverse? If so, this could indicate that one of the sensors is faulty...
  15. Seems a little strange that it only happened since the timing belt was changed. The only thing I can think is that the timing is just a tiny bit out?
  16. Hi Aaron, Welcome to the club. Lovely looking A4 :)
