Thanks Richard. Thought it must be something with the running gear. I'll check that out. Tony

High Speed Vibration
HI I seem to have some high speed vibration. It seems to come in around 70-80+mph. Otherwise the car is really smooth. The whole car seems to vibrate, not the steering. Have done a visual check on the tyres and wheels everything there seems ok. Any thoughts? Tony

New Member - Calipers and Apple CarPlay
Hi Terence. My Daytona Grey A6 Black Edition looks great with black badges. Set would be around £30 from ebay. Replacing is fairly straight forward. Would talk you through it should you wanted to do it. Tony

Simply Audi - Beaulieu - 1st August 2021 chat thread
Just bought my tickets to Beaulieu. Looking forward to a great day out. Does somebody arrange a meeting place so that we can arrive en masse? Done that many times before when we went to The Le Mans and other events.

Dechroming
Hi Adam Sorry, mine is a Black Edition so it didn't have any chrome trims. But, if you want to replace the badges I got mine from Ebay, all good quality. If you are interested I'll send you the links. The badges are fairly easy to remove, I'll explain if you want. Tony

Dechroming

New member...new to Audi
Hi Jonathan Welcome. I have the exact same car, I got mine in January and it has been a dream. I changed all the badges to black gloss as I thought a Black Edition should have them. ( Ebay about £30 in total.) It looks absolutely stunning. Tony

Cooling Fan Problem
Hi Cooling fans still running on. Went back to the garage with the fans running. Another diagnostic check. There are two engine temp sensors. One reading 87 degrees, second one reading 2000 degrees. I think that might be the problem.

Cooling Fan Problem
Hi Just got back from having the diagnostic check on the car. No fault codes!!! The garage checked every thing, air con, temp sensors, engine temp, nothing. Drove back home perfectly. Garage took their time checking, and did not charge me.

Cooling Fan Problem
Well, It has never done it before. Somebody did say it could be something to do with the regen of the DPF.

Cooling Fan Problem
Hi Seem to have developed a cooling fan problem. After a short run with the engine only just starting to warm up, if I stop, switch off the engine, cooling fans still running, leave for 10 minutes, fans still running. Restart engine, immediately stop engine, fans stop! Sounds like some solenoid not doing it's work properly. Having a diagnostic check tomorrow, will keep you informed of patients health. Tony

Radio Play List
Hi I can select the radio data which gives you the title and performer playing on the screen. But I can't save this to come on every time without reselecting it again. Is there a way of doing this? Tony

Simply Audi - Beaulieu - 1st August 2021 chat thread
The thing I am looking forward to is actually going somewhere. Since the delivery of my Audi in January I've been round the block a couple of times, and to hospital for my Covid jab. The car just sits there looking splendid. Tony

Audi Connect
I was trying to set up Audi Connect and I obtained my pin no, but the system requires a sim card. Why do I need this, and where do I get one? Is it just an ordinary sim card? Tony

Boot Hoists
My wife uses a mobility scooter. We are thinking of looking into getting a hoist for the boot to lift the scooter in and out. Has anyone had one of these fitted? Tony

Headlight Washers
The sinister case of the headlight washers has been resolved. After running the car up to temp. (Driving round the block numerous times). The culprits have been arrested and returned to their rightful place.

Headlight Washers
Hi A strange thing has happened to my A6 Avant. The car has been standing on the drive during this cold weather, and the headlight washers have activated. The car has not been started for 5 or 6 days, how has this happened? Started the engine up just now no change. Any ideas? My thought is, that there was some water in the system that has frozen and pushed the units out. Tony

To buy or not to buy?? Your advice please.
Hi Richard. I am new to Audi, but not new to cars. I waited and waited for the right Audi to come along. The ones I looked at always seemed to have compromises, and then bingo! It depends on the price, and how soon you need the new car. I waited as in lock down I had the time. If it were me I would give this one a miss, and keep looking.
