  1. Hello Martin, It wouldn’t surprise me that there isn’t, but well worth passing it passed your selling dealer for confirmation or refuting. Perhaps you could update us on how you get on. Kind regards, Gareth.
  2. Hello Dave, Worth placing a wanted advert in magazines such as Classic Car Weekly and similar publications. Also registering your want on on line car breaker websites such as Partsfinder - there are more. Kind regards, Gareth.
  3. Hello Joe, Are you intending to do this job yourself? If you are, you first need to confirm that it is actually a driveshaft seal that is the issue. I would not characterise this as an easy repair for DIYing, so you would need to ensure you have all the necessary equipment and experience to do this yourself. If you intend to get a garage to do it, then I would work on the principle of ‘ I have an undetected oil leak that aI need eliminating - can you first locate it and give my a cost to rectify it’? Kind regards, Gareth.
  4. Thanks for coming back on this Mike. It may well be worth having a search on here about issues with panoramic sunroofs. Can leak under under ‘normal’ use, and it would be reasonable to expect a higher potential for body flexing if using it for towing. Kind regards, Gareth.
  5. Thanks A, So we beg to differ on the anticipated rate of tread wear . Note:- it is usual for originally fitted tyres to last longer than subsequent sets of the same brand, but.. In terms of recommendations for future sets, I think the forum has given you some advice to help you select a brand for your next set. Having said that, could you now do us a kindness and amend your profile to at least include your full first name? Kind regards, Gareth.
  6. Hello A ( proper name?) If you are doing 10k/a and expect a set of tyres to still have ‘a decent amount of tread’ after 4 years, then I think you have expectations beyond the reasonable. I just don’t see it, even if you spend on the best. In case it helps:- Based on family experience, if I had a 4x4 type vehicle I would be going with Pirelli Scorpians. I’ve recently fitted a set of Kumho on our largish family saloon. Kind regards, Gareth. p.s. A ? - not too fussed on your choice of forum name.
  7. Welcome Mike, Have you talked with Audi Customer Services to confirm/refute that? Kind regards, Gareth.
  8. Welcome Ewan - nice looking car. Kind regards, Gareth.
  9. Thanks Saj, I would suggest it’s well worth getting your mechanic to check them first - rather than just embarking on changing them when they are serviceable. Possible suspect - top suspension mount?? Kind regards, Gareth.
  10. Or the ‘sender’ - often incorporated in the hub casting.
  11. Welcome Chris, I have removed the location of the main dealership you post about, since they are unlikely to access this site and openly explain their involvement. Kind regards, Gareth.
  12. It’s not a question of trust Martin, it a question of actual values and their significance. Appreciating opinions differ, but I wouldn’t be in any hurry to replace an expensive battery before confirming that your alternator output is indeed what it should be. Getting the battery tested would be a progressive move however - subject to it being fully charged at the point of testing.
  13. As suggested - just take it to Halfords and get the alternator output checked.
  14. Good luck with that Andy.
  15. Apologies Andrew - misinterpreted this to mean you couldn’t source a replacement! My mistake. Hopefully someone will be along to help you out. Kind regards, Gareth.
