  1. Might be worth speaking to retrofitters such as autologics or Audi retrofits as members have used them in the past and they have been happy with the results. 

    Might be able to activate them via vcds or obd11 etc.

  2. First thing to check is the battery tray housing as the drains in the bottom of the tray can clog with foliage then water gets into the cabin via the bulkhead.  

    Other locations could be water getting in via the boot seal near to wear the roof meets the boot.

I've noticed today that one of the "trims" (for want of a better word) on the front to the right of the number plate, second trim down has come loose at the side. Will the whole row of "trim" need replacing or is it a case that it'll need some kind of resin or adhesive to put it back into place?

    Cheapest option would be to glue it back in place. As I'm sure Audi will want to sell you a new grill.
